System Operation Check

Turn ignition switch to ON position. SRS warning light will glow and then go out after 4-10 seconds if no fault codes are present. Following conditions indicate SRS is malfunctioning and an SRS fault code will be stored in control unit memory:

• SRS light does not glow when ignition is turned on.
• SRS light does not go out after 4-10 seconds.
• SRS light does not go out after engine is started.
• SRS light comes on or flickers while driving.
