SERVICE INFORMATION

06/96-2 GROUP 54 - MODEL 210. COMBINATION CONTROL MODULE (CCM. N10-1) CONNECTOR: It is possible that the connector retaining pin at the bottom of the plastic connector could be broken, causing some pins to have intermittent or no contact. This can cause some CCM functions to be inoperative. The holding pin can be broken by incorrect insertion or removal of the harness plug - if misaligned and then forced. Therefore, the following precautions are advised: Be especially careful when connecting or removing the harness plug to/from the CCM, to avoid misalignment, forcing the contact, and subsequent breakage. If some functions of the CCM are inoperative, verify that the harness plug is properly seated and connected.
