Test 14: Right Front Window Switch Closing Function Circuit
- Using Adapter (202 589 03 63 00), connect Breakout Box (129 589 00 21 00) to convenience control module. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between terminals No. 2 and 4 at breakout box. When right front window switch is in rest position, battery voltage should exist. When right front window switch is in CLOSE position, less than one volt should exist.
- If voltage is as specified and right front window does not close, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If wiring is okay, replace convenience control module. If voltage is not as specified, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If wiring is okay, replace right front window switch.
- Using Adapter (202 589 03 63 00), connect Breakout Box (129 589 00 21 00) to convenience control module. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure resistance between terminals No. 2 and 4 at breakout box.
- When left front window switch is in rest position, resistance should be 20,000 ohms. When left front window switch is in either CLOSE position, 0-2 ohms should exist.
- If resistance is as specified and left front window does not close, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is not as specified, check wiring. If wiring is okay, replace left front window switch.
