Starter Lock-Out

NOTE: Starter lock-out function is controlled by central locking system (Pneumatic System Equipment (PSE) control module). For testing of this system, see PNEUMATIC & POWER DOOR LOCK SYSTEMS article.

Sit in driver's seat. Open driver's door window. Lock vehicle with key from driver's door by reaching through open window. After about 15 seconds, attempt to start engine. Ensure theft alarm horn sounds and engine does not crank. Deactivate anti-theft alarm. Ensure engine starts. If theft alarm horn does not sound and engine starts, perform TEST 20: STARTER LOCK-OUT RELAY MODULE under SYSTEM TESTS.
