12/98-1 RECALLS AND SERVICE CAMPAIGNS: WHEN REPAIRING ANY VEHICLE, ALWAYS CHECK THE VEHICLE MASTER INQUIRY FOR OPEN CAMPAIGNS
12/98-2 GROUP 80 - MODELS 202, 208 AND 210 IGNITION KEY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE: With the new Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS, N73, 210 545 01 08), more force is required to remove the key from the ignition switch. This increase in force is by design, and does not indicate a fault in the EIS. The EIS should not be replaced for this condition, nor should any lubricants be applied to the EIS or the SmartKey.
