Description & Operation: INTERLINKAGE
When "Unlock Vehicle" button is pressed, remote control key transmits a radio signal. This signal contains code for checking access authorization and command to unlock vehicle. The signal is received via antenna on driver's side A-pillar, signal is then sent to receiver in All-Activity Module (AAM) (N10). The AAM decodes signal and checks authorization code. If code is valid, vehicle is unlocked electrically and central locking switch (S21s10) in central console is released. Interior lighting is then switched on.
Unlocking is accomplished in two stages. If button of remote control key is pressed when vehicle was locked previously, AAM unlocks driver's door and tank flap. When "Unlock vehicle" button is pressed twice immediately in sequence, AAM unlocks ALL vehicle doors and tailgate simultaneously.
After unlocking with remote control key, vehicle can be locked automatically with the following functions.
- Re-Locking Feature
- Automatic Actuation Of Anti-Theft Alarm
