SL320 & SL500 (With ASR V)

  1. Connect pressure bleeding equipment according to equipment manufacturer's instructions. Caliper bleeding sequence is RR, LR, RF and LF. If brake system was opened downstream of hydraulic unit (brake calipers, brake hoses and brakelines), bleed approximately1/10th of a quart of brake fluid from each brake caliper.
NOTE: Bleeding the hydraulic unit accumulator must only be performed when reservoir is empty or work has be performed on master cylinder, charging pump, accumulator, hydraulic unit or connecting pipes.
  2. Bleed hydraulic unit accumulator (if necessary). Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Loosen hydraulic unit "SP" bleed screw and empty accumulator. Tighten "SP" bleed screw and start engine. Loosen "SP" bleed screw until clear brake fluid is present and no bubble or foam exists. Tighten "SP" bleed screw and wait for accumulator to charge. Charge pump will run for about 30 seconds. Turn engine off.
