Steering Wheel: Removal
- Before proceeding, follow air bag precautions and disable SRS. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS and DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Remove air bag module. See AIR BAG MODULE . Disconnect horn electrical connectors from steering wheel.
- Ensure front wheels are in straight-ahead position. Remove steering wheel hub nut. Mark steering wheel-to-shaft position for installation reference. Pull steering wheel off with hands or use steering wheel puller.
