Parking Lock Interlock Cable With Adjuster At Transmission

Shift selector lever must be in "P" position for removal and installation procedure. Remove cover below left side of instrument panel. Pull off entrance strip and remove "A" pillar footwell cover. Remove accelerator pedal from floor panel and remove driver side flooring. Remove air duct for rear compartment heating.
Unhook cable from release lever. Compress locking device and push cable upwards and out of mount on pedal bearing bracket. See Figure . Turn cable housing at transmission counterclockwise and pull cable out of transmission. See Figure . To install, reverse removal procedure.
