Check & Adjust Camber & Caster At Front Axle: Adjustments

  1. Observe general information on chassis alignment. See GENERAL INFORMATION ON CHASSIS ALIGNMENT  .
  2. Check vehicle level at front and rear axle with electronic inclination meter and adjust, if necessary. See RIDING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENTS  .
  3. Check camber measurement and assign a tabular value. Check maximum permissible difference in front axle camber between right and left sides of vehicles. For alignment specifications and values. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Check caster measurement and match to value in table. Measure with wheels turned 20°. For alignment specifications and values. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. NOTE: Front camber is set by movement at the rear bolt, front caster is set by movement at the front bolt.
  6. For adjustment points, see Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Vehicle manufacturer does not provide step-by-step adjustment procedure.
