MODEL 215 and MODEL 220

Front seat ventilation

Active ventilation of the seat cushion and backrest is possible with three stages using the seat ventilation integrated in the left/right front seat.

The seat ventilation is operated via the seat ventilation switch (N69/1s13); seat ventilation switch (N69/2s13) in the left front door control module (N69/1); right front door control module (N69/2). The function statuses are indicated by three, blue LEDs. The two motor groups for the seat ventilation are actuated by the left front seat adjustment control module, with memory (N32/1); right front seat adjustment control module, with memory (N32/2) via an electronic blower controller.

It is possible to end seat ventilation operation at any time by pressing a switch.

Switching on with convenience opening

When opening windows and sliding roof using the transmitter key (A8/1) (central opening) the seat ventilation is switched on, in "stage 3" irrespective of the above-mentioned function conditions. When closing, the seat ventilation is switched off again. If the seat ventilation is activated by means of central opening, then this is switched off again after t = 5 min, if the function conditions are now no longer met. The function "switching on with central opening" can be switched on and off via diagnosis in the seat control module.

IMPORTANT In the vehicle as-delivered state, the function "switching on with central opening" can only be switched on from the driver seat.

Rear seat ventilation (MODEL 220 only)

The function of the rear seat ventilation is identical to the front seat ventilation.

It is operated via the seat ventilation switch (N69/3s13); seat ventilation switch (N69/4s13) in the left rear door control module (N69/3); right rear door control module (N69/4). The respective motor groups are then actuated by the control module for rear seats (N25/6) via the regulator.

Integral timer control up to 31.5.01

A timer control is integrated in the control module. This gradually and automatically switches the ventilation back to stage one within a preset time. The ventilation can be manually switched off or switched back at any time using the switch.

As of 1.6.01

The timer control for ventilation mode of the front seats and rear seats is discontinued.

The selected ventilation stage (I, II, III) of the seat ventilation remains on and is not automatically switched back.

It is possible at any time to switch off or switch the seat ventilation to another ventilation stage by operating the switch.

As of 1.9.02

The seat control module implements a timer control for the seat ventilation.

After switching on "stage 3", this remains switched on for t = 10 min. Then the system automatically switches to "stage 2", which remains switched on for t = 10 min. Then it switches automatically to "stage 1". The parameters for the times of the 3 ventilation stages can be set via diagnosis in the seat control module. The timer control can be switched on and off via diagnosis in the seat control module.

IMPORTANT In the vehicle as-delivered state, the timer control for the ventilation stages is switched off.

IMPORTANT Provided "circuit 15C ON", the timer control continues to run for t = 5 min, if "circuit 15R OFF" or the voltage is too low/too high.
