Switching off manually

Function prerequisites

The heated seats (HS) are switched on.

Function

The switch-off procedure is triggered at the left front HS switch (N72/1s10) or the right front HS switch (N72/1s11) by a single press of the relevant heating stage "1" or "2" switch position.

The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) interrupts the circuit of the heated cushions (R13/1, R13/2, R13/3 and R13/4) and simultaneously switches the light emitting diodes off in the left front HS switch (N72/1s10) or the right front HS switch (N72/1s11).

Automatic switching off with ignition (circuit 15C) OFF

Function prerequisites

The heated seats (HS) are switched on.

Function

The switch-off procedure is triggered by turning back the transmitter key (A8/1) to circuit 15C.

The internal time sequence of the heated seats (HS) runs for another 5 minutes, meaning that if circuit 15R is switched on again within these 5 minutes the heated seats (HS) continue to operate without the switches having to be pressed again.

Automatic switching off with battery voltage less than 11 V

Function prerequisites

Undervoltage present for longer than 3 sec
The heated seats (HS) are switched on

Function

The upper control panel control unit (N72/1) detects the undervoltage and automatically triggers the heated seats (HS) switch-off procedure to protect the battery.

If undervoltage is detected the active light emitting diodes in the left front HS switch (N72/1s10) or the right front HS switch (N72/1s11) flash at f = 1.5 Hz.

If the undervoltage is present for more than 30 seconds, then a fault is stored in the memory.

The battery voltage sent by the electronic ignition switch control unit (N73) serves as a basis for voltage detection.
