Function illustrated on driver seat

Through actuation of the

seat fore/aft switch (S91/2s1),
rear seat raise/lower switch (S91/2s2),
seat front raise/lower switch (S91/2s3),
head restraint raise/lower switch (S91/2s4) or the
backrest switch (S91/2s5)

on the left front door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2) the driver seat can be accordingly adjusted.

The adjust request is read in by the left front door control unit (N69/1) and forwarded via the CAN-B (CAN-B) to the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1).

The driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) then actuates the motors (M27m1, M27m2, M27m3, M27m4 or. M27m5) accordingly.

The front passenger seat is adjusted in accordance with the same scheme as the driver seat.

Head restraint presetting (only and )

The position of the head restraints is preset automatically depending on the seat's longitudinal adjust position by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) or the passenger-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/2). The head restraint presetting function can be switched on or off using STAR DIAGNOSIS and is only performed for normalized driver or front passenger seats.
