Park lock interlock function - GF27.10-P-5101GG
TRANSMISSION 722.6 in MODEL 463 as of 1.6.99
Location
The parking lock interlock mechanism connects the parking lock in the transmission with the brake pedal.
Task
To prevent an unauthorized release of the parking lock.
Design
The parking lock locking pawl (39) is connected to the release lever (55) at the brake pedal via a connecting linkage and control cable (54).
The parking lock interlock is not connected to the steering lock.
Function
If the parking lock is engaged and the service brake not operated, the locking pawl (39) blocks the detent plate (38). The parking lock cannot be released.
So that the parking lock can be released, the brake pedal must be operated. When the brake pedal is operated the locking lever (55) is turned downwards via the roller (58), the tension spring at the brake pedal (57) is tensioned and the control cable (54) is released. The force of the pressure spring (64) now acts against the lower spring force of the pressure spring (62) via the control cable (54) and pulls the shift and locking valve (60) in front of the contour of the blocking cam (61). At the same time the locking pawl (39) is turned via the connecting linkage and lifts off the detent plate (38). The parking lock can now be released.
