SERVICE INFORMATION

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of engine runs rough at idle, poor performance, hard starting and/or check engine light activated (possible but not limited to one or more of the following codes stored in the engine control unit 0745, 0749, 0632, 0633, 0636, 0637, 0640, 0641, 0644, 0645, 0649, 0653, 0656), exchange the intake manifold module to resolve.

The condition may be caused by the vacuum hose for the vacuum supply for the air routing flaps and turbulence flaps at the intake module being cracked or torn off (Fig 1 and Fig 2 ). Consequently, un-metered air is entering the engine causing the above condition.

NOTE: Only vehicles up to production date 8/04 may be affected.
