	Remove/Install
1.1	Read out version coding of ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10)	When replacing ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10). Connect up STAR DIAGNOSIS and read in data from ME-SFI [ME] control unit(N3/10) into STAR DIAGNOSIS.
		Installation:  Transfer stored data to new ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10). STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
2.1	Turn key in ignition lock (electronic ignition switch control unit) to position "0"	When reusing ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).
3	Open engine hood and raise to vertical position		AR88.40-P-1000V
4	Remove air filter housing		AR09.10-P-1150VA
5	Move shift interlocks of electrical connectors at ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) in direction of arrow, and disconnect electrical connectors from ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10)
6	Pull ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) upwards out of control unit brackets (1a, 1b)
7.1	Detach ball-type support braces (2) from MESFI [ME] control unit (N3/10)	When replacing ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10).

8.1	Remove control unit brackets (1a, 1b) from resonance intake manifold as needed		*BA07.08-P-1002-01A
9	Install in the reverse order
10.1	Perform sensor rotor adaptation using STAR DIAGNOSIS	When replacing ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10).

11.1	Release transport protection on ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10)	When replacing ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10).
12.1	Personalize and activate ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10)	When replacing ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10).
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near a running engine	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.	-
13.1	Carry out engine test run	When replacing ME-SFT [ME] control unit (N3/10).
