Pressure sensor, task - GF91.60-P-4106-02PM
The pressure sensor (B48/4) determines in accordance with the piezoelectric principle the applied weight of a person or a child seat on the front passenger seat. The pressure sensor (B48/4) cannot differentiate between a person and child seat. This assessment is defined by the WSS (Weight Sensing System) control unit (N2/13) with the aid of the belt tension sensor (B48/3).
On the pressure sensor (B48/4) and the WSS (Weight Sensing System) control unit (N2/13) work may be performed at "circuit 15C OFF" only, as otherwise the calibration in the WSS (Weight Sensing System) control unit (N2/13) will be influenced, which can subsequently lead to an incorrect assessment!
