Power window position recognition, function - GF72.29-P-4000Q

MODEL 209.3 /4

Function

2 Hall sensors each are located on the

(located offset 90°)They respond to movements of the magnets and transmits one square-wave pulse for each rotation of the motor shaft.

Direction recognition

The rotation direction of the left door control module (N69/1), right door control module (N69/2) and rear control module (N22/6) (on model 209.3) or power soft top control module (N52) (on model 209.4) is recognized from time offset of the Hall sensor pulses

Position recognition

The left door control module (N69/1), the right door control module (N69/2) or rear control module (N22/6) (on model 209.3) or power soft top control module (N52) (on model 209.4) counts the pulses of the Hall sensor by considering the rotation direction of the position counter.

The value in the position counter is reduced when the window closes. When the window opens, the value in the position counter is increased.

The zero position is defined as the upper mechanical limit stop, i.e. when the window is fully closed the counter should be at zero. The zero position is set through normalization.

If the zero position is exceeded in the closing direction, the count becomes negative, and thus invalid. In this case, the left door control module (N69/1), the right door control module (N69/2) and rear control module (N22/6) (on model 209.3) or power soft top control module (N52) (on model 209.4) performs a re-normalization
