Normalization consists of storing the upper stopping point for the window (zero point) in the

Normalization 

Completely close windows with power window switch (S20/1s1, S20/1s2, S20/1s3, S20/1s4, S21/2, S21/3 or S21/4) accordingly Continue to actuate power window switch (S20/1s1, S20/1s2, S20/1s3, S20/1s4, S21/2, S21/3 or S21/4)

The left door control module (N69/1), the right door control module (N69/2) or the rear control module (N22/6) (on model 209.3) or power soft top control module (N52) (on model 209.4) then sets the position counter for the Hall signals to zero if

it has recognized lock-up for at least 0.3 s.

IMPORTANT Normalization is prerequisite for:

Re-normalizing 

Normalization is performed automatically, if an error occurs in the position recognition, i.e. the position counter shows a negative status

De-normalization 

De-normalization is performed if:

IMPORTANT Actuation of the temperature switch in the power window motors (M10/3, M10/4, M10/5 or M10/6) does not lead to de-normalization
