Power windows normalization, function - GF72.29-P-4003Q
MODEL 209.3 /4
Normalization consists of storing the upper stopping point for the window (zero point) in the
- left door control module (N69/1),
- right door control module (N69/2) and
- rear control module (N22/6) (on model 209.3)or
- power soft top control module (N52) (on model 209.4)
Normalization
Completely close windows with power window switch (S20/1s1, S20/1s2, S20/1s3, S20/1s4, S21/2, S21/3 or S21/4) accordingly Continue to actuate power window switch (S20/1s1, S20/1s2, S20/1s3, S20/1s4, S21/2, S21/3 or S21/4)
The left door control module (N69/1), the right door control module (N69/2) or the rear control module (N22/6) (on model 209.3) or power soft top control module (N52) (on model 209.4) then sets the position counter for the Hall signals to zero if
it has recognized lock-up for at least 0.3 s.
Normalization is prerequisite for:
- Automatic raising (only on door windows)
- Short stroke
- Switching off power window motors (M10/3, M10/4, M10/5 and M10/6) before reaching end stop
- Obstruction sensor unit
Re-normalizing
Normalization is performed automatically, if an error occurs in the position recognition, i.e. the position counter shows a negative status
De-normalization
De-normalization is performed if:
- the position counter for the window obtains a value greater than the maximum window travel during automatic raising
- the position counter for the window obtains a value beyond the negative zero point tolerance or the stored zero point during automatic raising
- the supply voltage is less than 0.6 V to circuit 30 for min. 60 s
- one of the two Hall sensor signals from power window motors (M10/3, M10/4, M10/5 or M10/6) is erroneous for 12 armature rotations
Actuation of the temperature switch in the power window motors (M10/3, M10/4, M10/5 or M10/6) does not lead to de-normalization
