COMPLAINT

Engine Changes to Limp-Home Mode with DTC 2082-008

CAUSE

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the engine going into limp-home mode with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 2082-008 (Check component B28/8 (Pressure differential sensor (DPF)) plausibility error due to malfunctioning hose lines), this may be caused by the software parameters in the CDI engine control unit.

REMEDY

To remedy this issue, program the CDI engine control unit with the latest CDI software release (Software Availability: Engine 642 as of DVD 05/2007 and Later).
