Heater box function - GF83.20-P-2103-02P
Heating mode
Heater operation, function
During heater operation, the intake air (A) is drawn in by the blower motor (A32m1) as a function of the position of the fresh air/air recirculation flap. The intake air (A) cleaned by the dust filter (1) is routed, as a function of the position of the blend air flaps, along the heater heat exchanger (4) through which the coolant flows and heated in the process.
The heated air (C) is routed to the respective air outlets as a function of the positions of the footwell flaps, of the defroster flaps and of the ventilation flaps.
Normal mode
Normal mode, function
In normal mode, the intake air (A) is drawn in by the blower motor (A32m1) as a function of the position of the fresh air/air recirculation flap. The intake air (A) cleaned by the dust filter (1) is routed, as a function of the position of the blend air flaps, along the heater heat exchanger (4) through which the coolant flows.
The fresh air drawn in (A) is routed to the respective air outlets as a function of the position of the footwell flaps, of the defroster flaps and of the ventilation flaps.
Blended air mode with recirculated air
Blended air mode with recirculated air, function
During blended air mode with recirculated air, the intake air (A) is drawn in by the blower motor (A32m1) as a function of the position of the fresh air/air recirculation flap. After this, part of the intake air (A) is routed, as a function of the position of the blend air flaps, along the heater heat exchanger (4) through which the coolant flows and heated in the process.
The other part oft the interior air drawn in is diverted past the heater heat exchanger (4) and is then blended with the heated air (C) to form mixed air (D). The mixed air (D) is routed, as a function of the position of the footwell flaps, of the defroster flaps and of the ventilation flaps, to the respective air outlets.
