Function

The residual engine heat utilization system is switched on by pressing the Rest button ( ) on the HEAT control and operating module (N18) on the taxi version (code 450) or residual engine heat utilization system MRA (code 670a), comfort automatic air conditioning (N22/7) only on model 203 or on the comfort AAC control and operating module(N22).

When the engine is switched off the residual engine heat utilization system heats the vehicle interior depending on the adjusted temperature on the HEAT control and operating module (N18) on taxi version (code 450) or residual engine heat utilization system MRA (code 450), comfort automatic air conditioning (N22/7) only on model 203 or on the comfort AAC control and operating module (N22) and the ambient temperature.

The vehicle can be heated for approx. 30 minutes with the engine switched off. The function is only possible with the ignition switched off or in position 1. The residual engine heat utilization system is switched off automatically in the event of undervoltage.

In the automatic air conditioning system and the convenience automatic air conditioning system the flaps are in automatic mode and the quantity of air is also automatically adjusted. The residual heat function is switched off,

if the key is moved to position 2 in the ignition switch,
after approx. 30 minutes
if the battery voltage drops below 11 V.
