In order to limit the maximum speed for vehicles with the appropriate engine output the throttle valve are closed appropriately upon reaching 250 km/h (for model 209 with code P98 Black Series 300 km/h) and the injection quantity reduced.

The ignition angle is also adjusted to "Late".

These measures ensure simple maximum speed limitation by reduction of the torque.
