Location

The kneebag unit is attached in the cover beneath the instrument panel at the driver side.

Task

The kneebag unit protects the driver from injuries in the knee area in the event of a frontal impact.

Deployment takes place means of squib ignition by the restraint systems control unit (N2/7).
