If the locking cylinder in the trunk lid is in the 0° position (1), pulling the trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8) electrically actuates the trunk lid lock when the vehicle is unlocked globally. Otherwise the mechanical key must be held in the 30° position (2) and the trunk lid external operation switch (S88/8) must be pulled to open the trunk lid mechanically.

If the lock cylinder is in the 90° position (3) opening is not possible.

Opening with the mechanical key is always possible regardless of the state of the central locking
