COMPLAINT

Rear operating unit of air conditioning system resets the settings automatically.

In model series 164/251 after approx. 30 minutes with the ignition switched off, the custom settings on the rear operating unit of the air conditioning system are erased and reset to 22°C in automatic mode.

CAUSE

This method of operation is deliberate and represents the series production configuration.

REMEDY

The function cannot be changed.

Replacing parts therefore does not rectify the problem.

Please refer the customer to the vehicle operator's manual if necessary. The manual describes how the rear compartment can be controlled remotely using the air conditioning operating unit in the first seat row.
