Design

The electric control unit consists of a plastic supporting body on which the following electrical components are located:

Conductor tracks which are laid in the supporting body make the connection between the electrical components and a 13-pin plug socket.

The connection to the cable set at the vehicle end and to the ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3) is made via this 13-pin plug.

Except for the solenoid valves all the electrical components are permanently connected to the conductor tracks.

Function

In the electric control unit signals from the ETC [EGS] control unit are converted into hydraulic functions. The rpm sensors, the starter lockout contact and the transmission oil temperature sensor supply input signals to the ETC [EGS] control unit.

The solenoid valves are actuated by the ETC [EGS] control unit and trigger the hydraulic functions.
