Location

RPM sensor 2 and RPM sensor 3 are permanently connected to the supporting body of the electric control unit via contact blades.

Task

The signals of RPM sensor 2 and RPM sensor 3 are recorded together with the wheel speeds and engine speeds as well as further information in the ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3) and are input signals for the electronic control.

Function

RPM sensor 2 and RPM sensor 3 are pressed against the transmission housing by a leaf spring which is supported at the shift plate valve body. This ensures a defined distance between the RPM sensor 2 and the associated exciter ring and between the RPM sensor 3 and the associated exciter ring.

RPM sensor 2 records via the external plate carrier of the multi-disk clutch K1 the rotational speed of the front sun gear and RPM sensor 3 records via the internal plate carrier of the multi-disk clutch K1 the rotational speed of the front planet carrier.
