Location
The pressure sensor is integrated into the seat surface of the front passenger seat.
Task
The pressure sensor determines the weight applied to the front passenger seat via a corresponding pressure measurement in a sensor mat filled with gel.
The Weight Sensing System (WSS) control unit (N110) then determines a category for the applied weight that corresponds to the determined value. This assignment is used to record the occupation status on the front passenger seat.
