COMPLAINT

Front seat backrest locks at folded-forward position

CAUSE

When the seat fore/aft adjustment operating switch is operated manually with the backrest in the folded-forward position, the automatic compensation motion of the backrest may cause locking.

REMEDY

To release the locking, firmly jolt the backrest opposite the direction of travel.

It may be necessary to release the backrest using the DAS (manual adjustment of the backrest angle).

No work on the release mechanism is necessary.

Modified software will prevent the compensation motion in the folded-forward position.

Update the left and right seat control unit N32 to the current software version using Xentry.
