Downhill Speed Regulation, function - GF28.19-P-3600AV

MODEL 204.9 with TRANSMISSION 722.960/962/964/965 with CODE 430 (Offroad package)

Function requirements for Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR), general

Downhill Speed Regulation, general

The downhill speed regulation is a downhill speed regulation off-road.

Downhill Speed Regulation, function sequence

The function sequence is subdivided into the following steps:

Function sequence of switch on/switch off DSR

The driver can switch the DSR on or off using the Downhill Speed Regulation button in the UPC control unit (N72/1). The "Switch ON" signal is received by the

Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4).

A red LED integrated in the Downhill Speed Regulation button indicates whether the speed limiter (Limiter) is active.

A previously set variable speed limiter (e.g. cruise control) is switched off when the DSR is active.

Speed setting, function sequence

The minimum setting speed of the DSR is approx. 4 km/h. In the multifunction display (A1p13) in the instrument cluster (A1), the speed setting of the DSP can be preadjusted in 2-km steps from 4 to 18 km/h using the cruise control lever (S40/4). During downhill driving the setting can additionally be varied via the cruise control lever.

Function abort, function sequence

If the vehicle is accelerated, the DSR switches "passive". If the vehicle speed exceeds a threshold value of 35 km/h, the DSR controls the previously adjusted setting speed again.

If the vehicle speed exceeds a threshold speed of 35 km/h, the DSR switches off and the function LED in the Downhill Speed Regulation button goes out. In addition an abort report appears via the multifunction display in the IC.
