Reset Trip Computer After ECU Software Update
Since MY2011 vehicles no longer calculate the consumption figures or trip data in the instrument cluster, rather they are calculated in the engine control unit (ECU).
Consequently, every ECU software update requires synchronization of the trip data in the ECU and in the instrument cluster by resetting the trip computer. After updating the ECU software, reset the trip computer in the "After start" and "After reset" menus by using the buttons on the steering wheel. Skipping this step will display incorrect fuel consumption data.
