COMPLAINT
Interference noises at speakers.
CAUSE
NOTE:
These are the possible causes
- Door panel/interior door wiring
- In-door speakers
REMEDY
NOTE:
To ensure reproducibility, an audio source should be available that causes the interference noise (audio source from the customer).
Locate the cause of the interference noises:
- When playing back the audio source, press the door panel against the door skin at certain points and hold the central locking knob. Detach the door panel and check whether cables, wiring, or connectors of cable sets are making slight contact with the door module or other cable sets. Arrange them in such a way that no vibrations are possible. This also applies to cable sets that are in slight contact with the door module. Check that wiring on control units and on the door module are seated securely; if necessary, move them to a different position or fix them in place. If the interference noises no longer exists, please use a damage code from group 72.XX.
If the interference noises persist, please observe point 2.
- When playing back the audio source with the door panel detached, make sure that the corresponding speaker is seated securely (torque 3NM+/-0.5 if necessary).
If possible, detach and check whether the interference noises persist with the speaker removed. Reattach the speaker, check that it is seated securely (torque 3NM+/-0.5 if necessary) and check again using the audio source. If the interference noises no longer exists, please use a damage code from group 82.XX.
