SPRINTER: MY-All, Model 906

SUBJECT

NOTE: Software Retrofits of various software-based special equipment codes and functions are possible. For further information refer to the AfterSales portal: "Info Center > PIT After-Sales > Software retrofit: Retrofits."

Order the special equipment code using the corresponding part number along with the VIN through the parts ordering process.

The VeDoc code for the vehicle is usually enabled the day after Germany receives the order.

There are two software-based retrofit procedures.

Procedure 1

Following steps should be followed when documentation is required for a software-based retrofit such as a change in speed limit:

Order the special equipment code using the corresponding part number along with the VIN through the parts ordering process. You must also create an XSF ticket via the After-Sales portal.

IMPORTANT: Attach all appropriate evidence and backup documentation to the XSF ticket. Please note that only a completed procedure, i.e. parts order with corresponding XSF ticket, can be processed by Germany. Incomplete procedures will be canceled.

Further information on XSF is available in the After-Sales Portal at the following path:

Products & Solutions → Product Support → XENTRY Support & Feedback (XSF)

Procedure 2

When documentation is not  required, an XSF is not required either.

Order the special equipment code using the corresponding part number along with the VIN through the parts ordering process. Incomplete procedures will be canceled.

This bulletin has been created and maintained in accordance with MBUSA-SLP S423QH001, Document and Data Control, and MBUSA-SLP S424HH001, Control of Records.

Circumventing the process by direct entry of the special equipment code in VeDoc will result in retroactive invoicing.
