COMPLAINT
Various engine and transmission complaints after engine control unit software update
Possible complaints:
- Teach-in/adaptation of wet clutch not possible
- Gearshift problems, e.g. hard 2-1 shift
- Increased idle speed (850 rpm)
CAUSE
- Incorrect variant coding string in engine control unit
REMEDY
Perform SCN coding of engine control module
NOTE:
Further procedure in case of prior transmission problems:
- Read out and save EEPROM data
- Teach in and adapt wet clutch (observe the valid TIPS document)
- If seeking help create a PTSS case (to be forwarded to engineering), and attach relevant documents:
- EEPROM before and after adaptation
- Engine torque in transmission modes N and D
- Injector performance data
- Current quick test log
