Location 

The tire pressure monitor control unit is located on the underfloor above the rear axle.

Tasks 

The tire pressure monitoring system control unit has the following tasks:

Reading in of signals 

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

Two-way radio 

The signals from the following components are read in via radio connections:

User interface CAN 

The following signals are received over the user interface CAN from the instrument cluster (A1):

Evaluation of input factors 

The read in input factors are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor, whereupon the signals are then sent.

Sending signals 

The tire pressure monitor control unit sends requests for display of messages and warnings to the instrument cluster via user interface CAN.

Structure 

The central antenna is integrated in the tire pressure monitor control unit.
