Power Output Limitation, Basic Function - GF08.00-P-1005A
Model all (CAR) with code ME01 (Electric motor)
To protect the involved components from overload, the output of the electric drive is limited under certain operating conditions.
General
For vehicles with two electric machines, the following explanations apply for each machine.
The electric drive limits the actual torque or reduces the maximum possible drive torque under the following conditions:
- Overheating of the electric machine
- Overheating of the power electronics control unit
- Low temperature coolant entry temperature too high
- Defective high-voltage battery recognized
- Temperature of the high-voltage battery too low or too high
- Charge level of the high-voltage battery too low
- Current consumption from the high-voltage battery too high
Frequent successive acceleration phases can result in overheating of the electric machine and thus a power output limitation.
The available output of the electric drive is shown in the multifunction display.
