Remove/Install Charge Air Temperature Sensor - AR07.04-P-0070GZB

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
WARNING Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1.1 Removes strut tower brace Model 164.8
IMPORTANT Remove strut tower brace from strut tower mounts.

1.2 Remove partition wall between wheel wells MODEL 251 AR62.30-P-2400RT
2 Remove ENGINE cover MODEL 164, 166, 207, 212, 218, 222, 251

INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Ensure correct seating of the ENGINE cover.

3 Remove ENGINE air intake duct upstream of right air filter housing    
4 Disconnect electrical connection at charge air temperature sensor (B17/8)    
5 Release charge air temperature sensor (B17/8) and pull out of the ENGINE charge air duct housing downstream of the charge air cooler INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace O-ring for charge air temperature sensor (B17/8).  
6 Install in the reverse order    
7 Connect Star Diagnosis, read out fault memory and clear if necessary

WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when ENGINE running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the ENGINE while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
8 Carry out ENGINE test run
