Remove/Install Fuel Level Sensor - AR47.50-P-0110RF

Engine 177, 264, 274.9, 276.8, 642, 651.9, 654.9, 656 in Model 253

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Suction off fuel vapors from vehicle interior. Vehicles with spark-ignition Engine  
REFER TO SPECIAL TOOLS     WS47.00-P-0039B 
2 Remove fuel pump.   AR47.20-P-5710RF 
3 Unclip cover (1) and remove. Engine 642, 651.9 in Model 253  
4 Press together catch springs and remove right fill level sensor (B4/2) upwards. NOTES Carefully remove right fill level sensor (B4/2) upward.
If this is not observed, the linkage of the right fill level sensor (B4/2) will be damaged.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The electrical contacts engage automatically when if the right fill level sensor (B4/2) is pushed in to the end stop.
 
5 Install in the reverse order.
