Component Description For Tire Pressure Monitor Control Unit - GF40.15-P-5124FG
Model 213
up to model year 2021
with code 475 (Tire pressure monitor (TPM))
Shown on model 213.0
Location
The tire pressure monitor control unit is located at the right on the underfloor.
Tasks
The tire pressure monitoring system control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Transfer of information
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in over the following connections:
- Two-way radio
- User interface CAN (CAN HMI)
Two-way radio
The following signals are read in using radio:
- Left front tire pressure sensor (A69/1)
- Right front tire pressure sensor (A69/2)
- Left rear tire pressure sensor (A69/3)
- Right rear tire pressure sensor (A69/4) User interface CAN
The following signals are received via the user interface CAN:
- from instrument cluster (A1)
- Vehicle speed signal
- Outside temperature
- Kilometer reading
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor whereupon the information is then sent.
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor whereupon the information is then sent.
Transfer of information
The tire pressure monitor control unit sends information over the user interface CAN to the instrument cluster, this information is then shown as menu displays and as warning messages.
Body
The central antenna is integrated in the tire pressure monitor control unit.
