Transmission 722.9 in model 463 as of model year 2013
View of center console, with engine 642
Location
The Direct Select Interface is in the center console.
Tasks
The Direct Select Interface has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Sending signals
The Direct Select Interface is flashable and codeable.
Reading in of signals
The Direct Select Interface reads in, among other things, the following signals via the drivetrain CAN (CAN C):
- Circuit status
- Driver door status
- Service brake, status
- Wheel speeds
- On-board electrical system status
- Diagnosis communication
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
The status of the A/T transmission mode button and of the park pawl button is read in by the Direct Select Interface via direct lines.
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor whereupon the relevant signals are then issued.
Sending signals
The Direct Select Interface sends, among other things, the following signals via the drivetrain CAN:
- Selector lever status
- Diagnosis communication
- Status, A/T transmission mode button
- Status of park pawl button
The functions that use these signals are described in the individual function descriptions (see block diagram or function schematic).
