General
The engine management system includes all processes that are essential in order to achieve economic and ecological engine operation. It includes various subsystems that influence engine running through checking, optimizing or regulating it.
In order to influence engine running, the engine management system records sensor data directly or via bus systems. The engine management system processes these sensor data and controls the required actuators in order to carry out the required function.
