	Remove/install
1	Unclip electrical connector (1) and electric line from the brackets (2).
2	Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) of the lambda sensor upstream of the catalytic converter (G3/2).
3	Remove oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2).	Coat thread of the lambda sensor upstream of the catalytic converter (G3/2) with hot lubricating paste.

4	Seal threaded hole in catalytic converter with suitable stop plug.	Record plug	Fig 4
5	Cover sensor tip of lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2) with protective cover.	When the oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2) is reused.

6	Install in the reverse order.
7	Read out and delete fault memory.

	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 8	Perform an engine test run; check engine for proper operation and check exhaust system for leak tightness.
