Hybrid vehicles
Overview
This document contains information on:
- General
- Function
General
The electric machine can operate as a motor or as an alternator. The combustion engine operates on the drivetrain and delivers energy for driving or energy for charging the high-voltage battery. Various operating statuses result from these possibilities, each with a different energy flow.
Energy also flows via the service line/charging station when charging the high-voltage battery.
Function
The following detailed information contains an explanation and a description of the energy flow for each operating status.
The operating status cannot be compared with the drive programs. Each operating status is a momentarily produced technical condition. However, the respectively selected drive program determines the conditions under which the various operating statuses are adopted.
