| 1 | Open side window in driver door | The side window in the driver door must be open during the curing time of the adhesive material. This prevents the triangular window (4) from being pressed outward by the air pressure that is generated when a door is closed. |

| 3 | Remove trim on D-pillar. | AR68.30-P-4497FRX | |
| 4 | Fold back seat backrests in the rear passenger compartment. | Model 290 with code 287 (Folding seat backrests in rear passenger compartment) |

| 5 | Unclip trim piece (1). | Fig 1 | |
| 6 | Remove window sealing frame (2). | Do not kink window sealing frame (2). Otherwise it may be damaged. |

| 7 | Remove screws (arrows) on trim piece (3). | ||
| 8 | Unclip trim piece (3) in area of triangular window (4) and remove. | ||

| 9 | Protect area around triangular window (4) against damage with suitable tape. | ||
| 10 | Secure triangular window (4) against falling down with suitable tape. | ||
| Risk of injury from cutting wire tearing or becoming hot and from splinters of glass when cutting out bonded windows | Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. | AS67.00-Z-0004-01A | |
| 11 | Cut out triangular window (4) and remove. | The triangular window (4) must therefore always be replaced. |

| 12 | Remove residues of mounting clips (5) from vehicle interior. | ||

Bonding area must be fully free from dust and grease. Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease. |

When damaged to a degree of ≤ 10 % it is possible to repair with primer stick. If damage is > 10 % the window frame must be coated with primer filler. Otherwise corrosion damage may occur. |

The primer must flash off for at least 10 min. Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease. |

| 14 | Apply cleaner (activator) in the bonding area on the triangular window (4) and rub dry with a dry cloth. | The bonding area must be free of dust and grease. Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease. |

| 15 | Coat bonding area on triangular window (4) with primer. | The bonding area must be free of dust and grease. Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease. |
|
The primer must flash off for at least 10 min. Otherwise the adhesive effect of the adhesive material will be impaired. |

The triangular window (4) must be installed within 10 min after applying adhesive material. Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease. |

The bonding area must be dry and absolutely free of dust and grease. Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease. |
