SUBJECT
Model C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, CLE and GLC
(206, 214, 223, 236 and 254 platform)
Model Year 2023 - 2024
Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2023 - 2024 C-Class (206 platform), E-Class (214 platform), S-Class (223 platform), CLE (236 platform), and GLC (254 platform) vehicles, the 48-volt battery module (BM48) control unit software does not correspond to the current series production configuration. It is therefore possible that the battery's state of health is calculated incorrectly, thereby falsely illuminating check engine light 'MIL' (malfunction indicator lamp). An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the BM48 control unit software on the affected vehicles.
Prior to performing this Campaign:
- VMI must be checked before performing campaigns to verify that the campaign is required on a specific vehicle. Always check for any other open campaigns and perform accordingly.
- Please review the entire Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described.
Approximately 42,079 vehicles are affected.
Order No. P-SC-2024020014
