Boost Pressure Indicators
Two manifold pressure switches activate a Green or Red indicator lamp mounted on instrument panel. During normal turbocharger operation .75-11.5 psi (.05-.81 kg/cm2 ), a Green indicator lamp mounted on the instrument panel will glow. When boost pressure exceeds 11.5 psi (.81 kg/cm2 ), the pressure switch will turn out the Green lamp and turn on the Red lamp. In addition to lighting the Red lamp, the switch also sounds the warning buzzer. The buzzer and Red light comprise the overboost indication system.
