Turbine Assembly

Turbine is mounted on right side of engine with compressor. It is connected to compressor by a shaft. When turbine wheel turns, compressor wheel must turn. Hot exhaust gas is fed into turbine through exhaust manifold. Gas hitting the turbine blades causes blades to spin. The more exhaust gas entering turbine, the faster it will spin, in turn spinning compressor faster. Thus, the turbocharger assembly can produce more power as demand increases.
