Dropping Resistor
- Disconnect dropping resistor (located in air intake at engine manifold) from wiring harness. Connect test lamp between dropping resistor input terminal (on wiring harness), and ground. Turn ignition on.
- If lamp does not light, check harness between No. 2 relay and dropping resistor. If lamp lights, go to step 3).
- Connect an ohmmeter to the connector terminals on the resistor. If reading is less than 1 ohm, dropping resistor is okay. If not, replace resistor.
