Instrument Panel Control Switch
NOTE:
When testing, position switch with "L" shaped key in lower left hand corner. See Fig 1
.
- Place switch in NEUTRAL position. Using an ohmmeter, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 and terminals No. 3 and No. 4. No continuity should exist between terminal No. 5 and all other terminals.
- With right side of switch rocker pushed, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and No. 5 and terminals No. 3 and No. 4. No continuity should exist between terminal No. 2 and all other terminals.
- With left side of rocker switch pushed, continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and No. 2 and terminals No. 4 and No. 5. No continuity should exist between terminal No. 3 and all other terminals.
- If switch does not test as outlined, replace switch.
